The Troodon
Add to My Folder
Technical development by Andy Jones
This downloadable game begins with some information about the physical features of a dinosaur known as the Troodon. The information also suggests how these features may have affected how the creature lived.

Once they have shared and discussed the information, children can move on to the interactive labelling activity, using drag and drop, to reinforce the names of body parts. Children could compare these to other animals, including themselves. Leaflet 2 provides more factual information about the physical attributes of some other dinosaurs.
Shared learning and teaching
Speaking and listening
Before using the resource, discuss the names and features of dinosaurs which the children already know. Consider how they might have behaved, moved, their size and possible colour and what they might have eaten. Compare these to creatures today.
