Cut out the individual road sign images on the poster or download the set of road signs cards (three of the signs can be annotated). Attach them to posts for outdoor role play, or create portable road signs for indoor and outdoor use by sticking them to cut-down broom handles or poles that have been inserted in parasol stands.Leave the laminated signs in the small world area alongside vehicles, miniature road signs, road layout mats, copies of The Highway Code and road sign posters, to extend child-initiated ideas and encourage sorting and matching.
