Can you keep Teddy dry?

Teachers’ notes: Talk about materials that keep us dry. Show the children some materials, for example, cotton, denim, bin bag and so on. Encourage the children to inspect these – look for holes, feel the surfaces, talk about how they are different. Encourage prediction: which will be waterproof? Choose three materials and demonstrate how to test them. The children should record their results by writing or pasting samples on to the sheet.
