Year 1 includes two sample lessons linked to the 100 Lessons Music Planning Guide. ‘Finding the best sounds’ links directly to Year 1, Autumn 2. Children are asked to choose appropriate sounds to represent characters, events or moods. In ‘Recording the sounds around us’ children listen to environmental sounds and use simple recording equipment. This lesson links directly to work in Spring 2 of Year 1.
