Copy the ‘Bird mask’ photocopiable sheet on to thin card for each child. Next using the ‘Feather shapes’ photocopiable sheet, cut out a variety of feather shapes based on a coloured theme, for example, blues, oranges or reds.

Starting from the outside of the mask, glue down the cut-out feather shapes and gradually overlap them, working in a circular pattern toward the centre. Decorate eye holes with sequins and fix a decorated stick to the outside back edge of the mask. Further decoration using foil or coloured ribbon could be hung from the top of the mask or stick.
