    what is geography lesson about

    I need to find the story about the geography lesson and what it is a bout but I can't find the real story of it to tell about the geography lesson.

    The Geography Lesson

    Brian Patten hails from Liverpool. I do not understand why the geography teacher, whom I believe also hailed from Liverpool, longed to visit a country where "green leaves of orange trees burn", which I assume implies that he wished to visit a country in autumn, when Liverpool has a temperate maritime climate, and therefore experiences the four seasons, enabling him to see these trees in autumn.
    Otherwise, this is a beautiful poem. (:
