I think that it's a very democratic thing, because everyone is equal in front of the teacher.

I think it is better if all children wear the same uniform. Children want to be alike and accepted. Parents won't stress at having the latest fashions. When children wear a uniform it helps them focus on the fact that they are at school and they are working.

School uniforms enable engender and inclusion. Today, clothes often represent a group or clique and certain brands (usually the expensive one) are considered to be more elite than others. This makes the wearing of street clothes at school a sort of badge, students are judged by the clothes they wear and whether they have the latest designer trainers or logos on their tops. Uniforms remove this pressure from students. They also prevent school becoming a "fashion show" as well as making it a lot easier for parents by removing the argument "that's not suitable for school".

Yes - children are wearing all of the same clothes, none differentiate in price. As a mother It is more manageable than finding a new outfit for everyday use

Better than deciding what to wear but need to enforce it more. Too many children turn up in my daughters school wearing trainers and football kits for PE, which is unfair when

I don't like uniform because I don't like doing my tie and shirt.
