World Book Day 2010 books revealed
Add to My Folder
The titles of the six specially produced books for World Book Day 2010 have been announced.
This year’s books include a Thomas the Tank Engine story for pre-school children, a Grubtown tales book by Roald Dahl Funny Prize winner, Philip Ardagh, and Scholastic author Dan Freedman’s Jamie Johnson: Born to Play. As with last year’s world book day, some of the titles are ‘flip’ books, providing readers with two books in one.
The titles can be bought at participating book stores with the £1 (€1.50 in Ireland) book token that is sent to all children in UK and Irish Primary Schools by charity World Book Day Ltd. Pre-schools and Secondary Schools in the UK need to register at www.worldbookday.com to receive support material, including the World Book Day £1 Book Tokens.
The Book Tokens can be redeemed against any book or audio book worth £2.99 (€3.99) or more (one Book Token per transaction), or exchanged for one of the six specially produced £1 (€1.50) books, while stocks last, between Monday 1 and Sunday 28 March inclusive.
The full list of titles is given below. The age ranges given are for appropriate content and not reading age.
