Use these resources to extend the children’s learning and brighten up your setting

How to use it

Look at this colourful poster with the children to stimulate discussion about their personal experiences of cockerels and horses. Can they imitate the sounds and movements that they make? Raise the children’s awareness of the differing features of birds and animals, by encouraging them to look closely at the contrasting images, for example, comparing the cockerel’s magnificent comb and tail feathers, and the horse’s long mane and tail.
