Talking books
Add to My Folder
Create a multimedia book by combining text, images and sounds
The activities involve the creation of a ‘talking book’ using slide-show presentation software. The children will need to think carefully about their audience, and the appropriateness of the fonts, images and sounds they will be using. They will also be developing the skills of cutting/pasting, dragging and dropping, and file handling.
Setting up
Most presentation software will be suitable for this task (Textease Studio or Microsoft PowerPoint® are particularly suitable). The children will need to be familiar with the basic operations of the software and will also need access to a microphone and headphones.
