Sticky caterpillars

EYFS Physical Development: Moving and Handling

8-20 months: Picks up small objects between thumb and fingers.

ELG: Children show good control and co-ordination in large and small movements.

At around this age babies are becoming more aware of how to use their fingers independently to perform more complex tasks. Invite the baby to practise their fine motor grip by trying to pull off the sticky caterpillars (tape) before they get to the leaf.
