Planetary puzzlers to investigate the Earth, Sun and Moon
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the first lunar landing by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. Use the Apollo 11 Moon mission as a launch pad for children’s curiosity about our solar system and develop their understanding of the relationships between the Earth, Moon and Sun. This article features six questions, each with six plausible answers (correct answers are shown in bold.) The children must decide which answer is correct. The linked Interactive resource brings the questions to life with animation and audio.
