What you need
Group size: whole group.
‘Ants in my pants!’ rhyme; paper; pencil; 1-6 dice; felt-tipped pens.
What to do
As a fun, warm-up activity, perform the action rhyme ‘Ants in my pants’ together. Once the children are familiar with the actions, speed up the verses each time you say the rhyme, until it becomes so fast that it is almost impossible to keep up! Then, drop to the floor exhausted and relax (although be prepared that the children will probably want to do it again a few minutes later).
