How to trick a storybook wolf
Add to My Folder
How to trick a storybook wolf allows children to practice sequencing instructions in a fictional context, using simple time connectives and imperative verbs.
The text provides reading practice using long vowel phonemes and some adjacent consonants (for example, Letters and Sounds secure Phase three and developing Phase four). There are two choices of text – one based on the traditional tale of The Three Little Pigs; the other on Little Red Riding Hood, with the latter being at a slightly higher reading level. The object of the game is to trick the wolf and divert the usual story endings.
