This article explores some of the difficulties children may face when returning to school and offers practical ideas to help children settle back into school life after five months away.


The seismic impact of COVID19 has been felt across the globe. For the education sector this has meant adapting to a new technologically focused way of educating children, which has had a mixed reception and required both adults and children to adapt quickly to the changing approaches. However, with a new school year on the horizon and all efforts being applied in order to have face-to-face learning return as the norm, there are new challenges to face, alongside potential opportunities.
