Claire Jackson from Sythwood School in Surrey knows a thing or two about teaching children about Fairtrade. As the Fairtrade coordinator for Woking schools, Claire is part of the Woking Fairtrade Action Network and has worked with 40 schools over the years to build awareness and understanding of Fairtrade among children of all ages. At Sythwood School, the children find out about Fairtrade through the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Here, Claire offers some ideas for teachers about Fairtrade and suggests some cross-curricular activities from the IPC.
