Focus on the details using time-lapse techniques in the final part of our series of film-based literacy ideas
This unit encourages children to get outside and use their senses to closely observe the world around them. They are working towards creating ‘word pictures’ using imaginative and adventurous language choices to describe and communicate a sense of wonder.
This article suggests using moving image texts that will support, enhance and expand the observations children make outside of the classroom. Two different themes and two different approaches will provide inspiration in the first instance, and a model for the children’s own work in the second.
