Celebrate Father’s Day by making a card for someone special using a range of natural materials

All about Father’s Day
Father’s Day is always celebrated on the third Sunday in June, and honours the role of dads and men who serve in father-like roles in the lives of others.
Father’s Day originated in 1909 when a woman named Sonara Dodd attended a Mother’s Day sermon at a church near her family’s home in eastern Washington Stage, USA. While listening to the sermon, she thought about the sacrifices her father had made for his children and the wonderful job he had done in raising them after her mother had died. Sonora’s father was born in June, so she chose to hold the first Father’s Day celebration in Spokane, Washington on 19 June 1910.
