Buttons – Physical Development Activities
Add to My Folder
Learning to manage buttons has the two-fold benefit of enabling children to dress themselves independently and develop hand-eye co-ordination.
EYFS Area of learning > Physical development
What to do:
Firstly, talk about different kinds of fastenings on clothes like zippers, buttons, hook and eyes and poppas and eyelets. Show the children different types of clothes with different fastenings. Focus in on the clothes with buttons and ask the children if they have any clothes that have buttons.
