The Common Assessment Framework is the latest piece of the jigsaw designed to give service agencies the whole picture

What is the Common Assessment Framework?

The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) is part of Every Child Matters. Central to it, is a form on which the additional needs of an unborn baby, child or young person can be recorded to facilitate action across the services. Although this may sound like ‘yet another form’, it is a key process through which education, social and health services can make joined-up responses to children with additional needs.
