These are the final maths problem cards – but fear not! From next month Brenda Williams will be moving onto literacy starters!

The theatre performance

A travelling theatre company are coming to school, and want to involve the children in their production. Before they decide how to cast children into different roles, though, they need to know more about them, such as how many children enjoy singing and how many can act.

Can the children answer their questions by first carrying out a survey of every child in the class, and then by recording the information in a block graph? They should show how many children prefer to sing, act, dance, recite, play a musical instrument, tell jokes, and so on.
