Interactive maths operations games

Games are a powerful way of helping children to learn maths. Their repetitive nature allows children to practise key skills including problem-solving strategies and explain maths to each other using appropriate language. The immediate feedback children receive from each other while playing can help both them and you assess their knowledge and understanding of maths concepts. When playing the games below, encourage children to think aloud – to share their thoughts and explain their thinking.
