Make a colourful Christmas decoration

Early learning goal: explore a variety of materials, tools and techniques, experimenting with colour, design, texture, form and function.

What you need

Group size: small groups.

Child scissors; glue; sticky tape; recyclable materials such as plastic and cardboard pots, tubs, tubes and boxes; old CDs; decorative materials such as coloured paper, card, foil, fabric, lace, braid, Cellophane, beads and sequins; several lengths of tinsel; ribbon or wool; string or garden twine.
