When we think of our bodies, it can be easy to get caught up in external aesthetics. As we stand in front of the mirror, musing on whether our bums look too big in the trousers we’re wearing, we would do well to remember what is happening beneath the surface. After all, the human body is a miraculous and magnificent instrument.

Although directly linked to the Key Stage 2 science curriculum, the topic of the body provides endless possibilities for cross-curricular learning. This month’s creative topic is divided into four key areas: the skeleton the organs; the muscles and the senses.
