By Jill Hughes

‘Choose and move’ makes learning fun. It suits all primary age groups and can be adapted for every subject taught at primary level. It requires minimum time outlay, and the results are lessons at your fingertips, starters galore and teaching which suits every learning style. It is a favourite of children who need to get up and about to learn.

Multi-purpose tasks for topics

The idea is to present children with a grid of information or definitions. It can be related to a picture book, a non-fiction text, a poem, a film clip or just some relevant subject information. For example, this one is suitable for Year 3/4 children who are studying the poem ‘The Jumblies’ by Edward Lear.
