A new visual way to help you with your planning – follow the track to help deliver the objectives for your D&T QCA Unit

Objective:

Children should learn that slippers are designed for a purpose and are suitable for different genders, age groups, and designed around a specific theme.

Activity:

Ask the children to each bring a pair of slippers to school. As a whole class, discuss what slippers are used for – and encourage each child to talk about theirs.

Website:

www.clarks.co.uk includes general information about the growth of children’s feet.

Objective:

Children should learn that many different materials can be used in slipper construction – some to stiffen (to provide a hardwearing surface) and for appearance.
