Yoga can help children with behavioural difficulties to stay calm and on task

Yoga at School is not only beneficial for the body, but it can also have a profound effect on behaviour. Here is the story of Sinclair, who has particularly benefited from the yoga programme.

Sinclair is a Year 4 child in a primary school in Redbridge. His class teacher described him as having a low self image, being moody, having a short attention span, and often disrupting the class with silly noises or swearing. He was aggressive to other children and found group work difficult. However, Sinclair enjoyed PE and loved football, and he was sharp and incredibly flexible.
