Find out about Easter traditions from around the world, and make stripy Easter cards.

Every year Easter parades take place in Christian countries right across the globe, many including Easter bonnet parades and Easter egg hunts, but many more are quite unusual and unique to their country of origin:

Easter in Mexico is a lively, colourful celebration with children literally smashing eggs over each other’s heads in the week before Lent. The eggs however are filled with tiny pieces of paper rather than raw egg.

In Germany it’s traditional to dye eggs green on Maundy Thursday.
