Which MP could record the highest number of skips in two minutes?
Not content with battling it out over policies, MPs have been challenging each other in a different way – by skipping.
Skip2fit, the fitness initiative designed to motivate children to eat healthily and exercise, teamed up with Sainsbury’s Active Kids campaign to discover which MP could record the highest number of skips in two minutes.
The contest formed part of the launch for this year’s Active Kids campaign and the start of Sainsbury’s support for Skip2fit, a cross-curricular skipping programme that teaches children about the link between healthy eating, exercise and academic ability.
Schoolchildren are given digital skipping ropes and two minutes to complete as many skips as they can. The results can be used in ICT to create charts and graphs.
