Starting out in childminding in November 2000, I was unaware of the events which were to unfold. With the second of my two children just eight months old, being able to extend my own warm, loving home environment to look after other children was an ideal job. I never imagined there were to be so many changes in the ‘system’! Here are a few thoughts on the process of my own professional development.
