Bird Schools’ Birdwatch

The RSPB’s Bird Schools’ Birdwatch is celebrating its 10th birthday this year! Running from 24 January to 4 February, this annual event is a wonderful way of getting children interested in the birds in their school grounds and also offers lots of learning opportunities.

All you need to do to get involved is to set aside an hour one morning for your children to watch and keep count of the birds in their school grounds. You could set up some feeders prior to the ‘watch’ to encourage more birds to visit. Your results can then be sent off to the RSPB who will collate and analyse them.
