All about Advent…
Advent is a very special period in the Christian calendar, full of excitement, tradition and expectation, as it prepares for Christmas and the celebration of the birth of Jesus. The first Sunday of Advent starts on 27 November to 3rd December and the period lasts until Christmas Eve. During Advent, there are many special customs to keep, dates and events to observe, and preparations to make – many of which can be exciting and inspiring for young children.
Try these activities with your children during Advent to enthuse them and enhance their learning and development, while building their anticipation and understanding of this unique celebration.
