Editor of Nursery Education PLUS, Tracey, introduces our ‘Countdown to Christmas’ themed activities and offers more ideas for exploring the topic with your children:

‘Christmas is a time for giving and receiving and the thrill and anticipation of Father Christmas visiting, provides brilliant opportunities for developing communication skills and encouraging children to think of others, too. Why not turn an area of your setting into a busy grotto and explore these activities? You could even invite Santa to join you as Christmas draws nearer, to thank his little helpers for all their busy work.’
