Create a mini ‘seaside sand land’ for small world play

Group size: Small groups.
What you need
A sand pit or sand tray; seaside-themed props, such as buckets and spades, flags, shells, stones and pebbles; small world toys, such as fish and sea creatures; small world characters; children’s holiday snaps showing seaside scenes; pictures of seaside resorts (see our ‘Wish you were here…? Poster ) and rock pools.
