Let off some steam in the name of playground fun with these active playtime games
Davies Sports has developed six brand new themed Huff & Puff kits. This innovative scheme engages and develops children, helping to reduce obesity, improve concentration, enhance self-esteem, improve attendance, reduce bullying and enhance core skills.Drawing on the collective experience of the team at Tameside School Sport Partnership, Davies Sports have revamped the kits, creating a set of easy-to-use kits with instruction cards, which can be used by both lunchtime supervisors and children.
With this in mind, Jeffery Curtis, Sports Development Coordinator in Tameside, teamed up with Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Primary School to put the new kits to the test in a series of fun and highly engaging activities.
Round the world alphabet rhyme
You will need: skipping ropes; space.
This can be played either by individuals or with three or more children. Players one and two turned the rope, while player three jumped over the rope, chanting this rhyme.
I took a trip around the world and this is where I went... Ashton to Blackpool, Blackpool to Cardiff, Cardiff to Durham...
