Quick and simple ideas for text- and sentence-level practise


1. Ask the expert

You will need: a collection of information books on your chosen topics; an interesting hat or two; four large speech bubbles for each group.

Ask the children to imagine that some important visitors are going to talk to them. These visitors will be experts and know everything about their subject. Explain that there will be four experts, specialising in… (insert your topics here, according to the interests of the children).
