Follow the track to help deliver your objectives as you explore what religions are represented in your neighbourhood
Objectives: To use a range of resources to discover which religious traditions are represented in the neighbourhood; to find out about the main beliefs, practices, buildings and people of these religious traditions; to recognise the ways in which religious communities express their beliefs and identities; to learn that there is diversity within and between religions and some of the reasons why this is the case.
Discuss how we can find out about religions in the local area. Create a mind map.
Next, survey children in the class to ascertain who belongs to which religion. Create a graph to present the data.
