The children we teach are now digital natives – they have been born into a world of technology and don’t know anything else. More to the point, they love using it – so why not engage them in learning through technology?
I feel strongly that tech, when used effectively, can have a very positive impact in the classroom. Below I have listed my top 10 ways.
1. Gamify learning
Making an activity competitive has certainly enthused my students. A great tech tool to use is Kahoot!. This website/app allows you to find a ready-made quiz (or create your own) and then set it as a challenge to your class. Questions come up and points are scored for the correct answer and time taken. I use it mainly for starter activities or plenaries and my class absolutely love it!
