Here’s some exclusive activities on the theme of ‘Growing’ for you to enjoy with the children

Climbing the beanstalk

Communication, Language and Literacy

Share the traditional tale of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ with the children. Ask them to imagine what it must have been like to climb to the top of the beanstalk. What do they think they might find there? Encourage the children to describe a mysterious land. Scribe their ideas and use their descriptions as part of a story, as a poem or as a long caption for an imaginative display linked to the story.
