Take a look at some of our favourite entries in the stop-motion ‘One minute epic’ competition

In the Late Autumn 2010 issue of Child Ed PLUS, we challenged schools to create ‘one minute epics’, using the exclusive stop-motion animation software, JellyCam .

The Child Ed PLUS team were overwhelmed by the quality of the entries that were sent in. The winning entry is from Gosden House School, Guildford who win a trip to the London Film Museum, including an animation masterclass with a professional artist.

Tim Major, Editor of Child Ed PLUS, said: ‘Gosden House School’s animation, ‘Zoo Day’, is terrific. It uses film conventions such as close-ups and wide shots, and the movement of the zoo animals is great fun. The crocodile at the end of the film introduces a nail-biting element of danger!’
